A winner of national and international awards, Jill Rumoshosky Werner's art is regularly exhibited in prestigious museums and galleries throughout the United States and abroad. She received a 2008 Mid-Career Fellowship and a 2000 Mini-Fellowship from the Kansas Arts Commission, plus she was on the selection panel for the Mini-Fellowship awards in 2001. Her work has been published in American Craft magazine, exhibited in the U.S. Embassy in Pakistan and is in the collection of the International Quilt Study Center.

Jill grew up in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She holds a Masters degree in audiology and once worked for a leading hearing aid manufacturer in Minnesota, where she published the first research on in-the-ear hearing aids. After moving to Kansas in 1977, Ms. Werner worked as a software technical writer for NCR and then as a systems engineer for IBM. She became a full time artist in 1999 and currently lives in Wichita with her husband.
