The mystery is solved!
We have our final winner! Terry Grant correctly guessed that the two words at the top of the bulletin board say "Art Department". I started making the sign for it today and you can see it in the picture, but it isn't finished yet.
The whole project looks pretty boring right now because the only colorful thing on the board is the scarf in the Lost and Found section. It should only get better from now on, as everything else that I plan to attach is going to pop with color. It's better to use "boring" as a backdrop if you plan to have a lot of color in the artwork.
Congratulations to Karen Stiehl Osborn, Jeri Riggs and Terry Grant, the winners of my contest, and thanks to all of you for participating!

Well, how about that! I work in one of those, but in a school and we dont have things like that! Sooo obvious!
Well done to the winners and it's been fun participating!

Caroline, my solo show will be at Newman University's art gallery, so this piece is intended to be a college art department's bulletin board. The "flyers" on the board, shown in my previous blog posts, are the kind you would see posted at a college. I even slipped in a couple of jokes that only the folks at Newman U. would understand. On the flyer with "Changes and additions to the Fall, 2008 class schedule", the bottom line reads, "Please see Ms. Werner for more information". The joke here is that the art professor who runs the gallery is named Mary Werner (no relation). This line is intentionally ambiguous, so the students wouldn't know who it was referring to, the artist who made the fake bulletin board (me) or the professor who would most likely post a notice like this if it were real (Mary). Also, the course numbering system I used on that flyer follows Newman's numbering system. This would only be obvious to the students and faculty there.
Thanks again to everyone who participated! This contest was a lot of fun and I will post images of the prizes as soon as I make them.

I am pretty excited about guessing the right answer! Looking forward to seeing the bulletin board come together.
